KYB Document Requirements Guide for Indonesia

1. Mandatory documents for sole proprietorships

  • KTP for resident or KITAS + Passport for foreigners
  • NPWP
  • NIB
  • Sole Proprietorship Certificate of Registration (Sertifikat Pendaftaran Pendirian Perseorangan)
  • Proof of bank account through bank statement
  • Proof of business activity (see Section 2 below)
  • Any additional business licenses or documents (see Section 4 below)

2. Mandatory documents for corporations, partnerships and foundations

  • For PIC director of the entity: KTP for residents or KITAS + Passport for foreigners
  • Announcement/Approval Letter from the Minister Law & Human Rights (SK Menkeh atas Akta Pengangkatan Direktur Terakhir)
  • NIB document
  • NPWP of entity
  • Deed of establishment (Akta Pendirian Perusahaan)
  • Latest Deed of Amendment (Akta Perubahan Perusahaan Terakhir)
  • Proof of bank account through bank statement
  • Proof of business activity (see Section 2 below)
  • Any additional business licenses or documents (see Section 5 below)

3. General Proofs of Business Activity

Please consult the below list in order to see what type of additional documents we may require your Indonesia-based business to possess.
If your business is just starting out, we understand it can be hard to provide supporting documentation. However, please take a look at the list below and see if there are some documents you can supply.
In addition, if there are any documents you can think of that might help us to verify your business that are not on the below list, feel free to supply them also. Your proofs of business activity should match and corroborate with the activities shown on your website.
  • Contracts for sale;
  • Bank statement indicating business operations;
  • Copies of sales or purchase invoices;
  • Pro forma invoices from suppliers;
  • Proof of business insurance;
  • Receipts for software subscriptions, such as AWS or Xero;
  • Proof of owning a website domain;
  • Proof of being registered with an online marketplace or e-commerce platform (Tokopedia, Shopee);
  • Utility bills issued in the name of the business or;
  • Qualifications, membership in professional organizations, or membership in professional service registers or industry associations.
