  • Does the mobile device have Bluetooth switched on? The iOS and Android device needs to have Bluetooth active.

  • Is the scanner charged and in range of the device? Check that the scanner is fully charged and within range (100 meters or less).
  • You can download the socket mobile companion app from App Store / Play store. Check whether the socket mobile app is able to connect and pair to the device.

Check your product’s barcodes

Confirm that your products’ barcodes are set up correctly with the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Is the product visible in HitPay POS? If the product is hidden in HitPay POS or unpublished, the barcode scanner will not load the product.
  • Does the barcode number on the label match the product’s barcode number in your HitPay dashboard? If there are extra zeros at the beginning or end of the number, then delete them and try again.
